There is a bumper nine race card on the ITV schedule this Saturday with five races from Haydock, two from Ascot and two all-weather races from Kempton.
The first of Haydock’s live races comes in the form of the Group 3 Superior Stakes over one mile. Three handicaps including the hugely competitive Old Borough Cup follow before their big race of the day, the Group 1 Sprint Cup. Kevin Ryan’s Commonwealth Cup winner, Inisherin, heads the betting in what looks like a wide-open renewal.
There will be two valuable handicaps broadcast from Ascot, the £80k bet365 Handicap over seven furlongs and the £100k Chapel Down Handicap over a mile and a half.
The Group 3 September Stakes will be the first of two televised races from Kempton. This 1m4f race was won on two occasions by Enable in preparation for October’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Their second live contest will be the London Mile Series Handicap which will be worth over £36k to the winner.
