The Scoop6 is a Totepool bet that is usually available each Saturday but can also run throughout big meetings such as the Cheltenham Festival. The idea is to pick the winners of the six selected races and if you do, you could win a share of that jackpot. If nobody wins, the money carries over to the next week.
That’s not all, if you have six placed horses you can win a share of the smaller place pool, and if you are lucky enough to get all six correct, you get the chance to win the Bonus Fund by picking the winner in the bonus race the following week.

Golden Ace’s 22/1 win in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at leg 2 in last Saturday’s Scoop6 left just 118 units in the pool for leg 3. Only two units selected the winning favourite Tutti Quanti with a further three units also on the unnamed favourite. Those five units were spread across four runner’s in Newbury’s Coral Gold Cup but none had picked out the winner Panic Attack for Dan Skelton meaning that £52,028.95 prize pool rolls over to this week. The £5,406.91 place pool was won by 84 units, a dividend of £64.30.
Scoop6 Races for 29th November 2025 (Newbury & Newcastle)
The six live ITV races make up the six Scoop6 legs on Saturday with four at Newbury and two from Newcastle. Leg 1 is a handicap hurdle at Newbury before Newcastle’s Fighting Fifth Hurdle as leg 2 and the Coral Racing Club Intermediate Handicap Hurdle as leg 3. Newbury’s Coral Gold Cup is leg 4 with the Rehearsal Handicap Chase at Newcastle as leg 5 and a handicap chase back at Newbury as leg 6.

Despite three winning favourites in the first four legs in last Saturday’s Scoop6, just 15 units made it through to the penultimate leg, the Hurst Park Handicap. Those 15 units were spread across four runners but none backed Calico at 16/1 for Dan Skelton meaning the £41,215.14 prize fund rolls over to this week’s pool. The £5,197.27 place fund was won by 29 units, a dividend of £179.20.

This Saturday’s Scoop6 will have three legs each at Haydock and Ascot. Leg 1 will be Haydock’s Betfair Racing Podcasts Handicap Hurdle before the Berkshire National Handicap Chase at Ascot as leg 2 and the Stayers' Handicap Hurdle back at Haydock as leg 3. A total of 105.65 units made it all the way to the penultimate leg, Cheltenham’s Intermediate Handicap Hurdle, but none of those back James Owen’s Lavender Hill Mob who won at 33/1. This meant that the £30,820.60 prize fund rolls over to this week. The £4,550.78 place fund was won by 88.77 units, a dividend of £51.20.

Three Card Brag secured a 2¾ length win. All hopes in the final leg, the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle, rested on Henry de Bromhead’s Quantum Quest. The 11/1 shot had every chance in running but could only finish down in fifth place meaning the £62,948.34 rolls over to this week. The £5,297.76 place fund was won by just 9.75 units, a dividend of £543.60.

This Saturday’s Scoop6 has legs at Ascot, Newmarket and Redcar. Ascot’s Rous Stakes will be leg 1 with the October Auction Stakes and Sun Chariot Stakes, both at Newmarket as legs 2 and 3. Leg 4 will be the Bengough Stakes at Ascot before Redcar’s Two Year Old Trophy at leg 5. The final leg will be the Ascot Challenge Cup.
