Ascot’s Clarence House Chase Day is the middle meeting of the Berkshire Million series, bookended by racing at Windsor on Friday and Sunday. ITV will be showing four races on Saturday from Ascot, starting with the £60k Grade 2 BetMGM Mares’ Hurdle. Kargese for Willie Mullins is well fancied at the head of the betting following an impressive juvenile campaign last season.

The valuable bet365 Handicap Chase is followed by the BetMGM Holloway’s Handicap Hurdle, before the big race of the day, the Clarence House Chase. Jonbon for Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins’ Energumene are set to go head to head for the winner’s share of just under £100k. They’ll be joined by 2022 Arkle winner, Edwardstone, and previous Grade 2 winner Boothill.

ITV will be bringing us three live races from Haydock’s Peter March Chase Day on Saturday. The £75k Rossington Main Novices’ Hurdle is first up on Merseyside, a trial race for March’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham.

The 3m1f Peter Marsh Handicap Chase is the most valuable race at the meeting with £100k up for grabs. Eight runners are set to go to post in a competitive looking renewal, headed in the betting by Betfair Chase winner, Royal Pagaille for Venetia Williams and Charlie Deutsch who saddles the top weight of 12st. The final live race at Haydock will be a 3m½f Handicap Hurdle.

Gates open at 9am at Lingfield for their early meeting. The first race of the day, the Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Handicap, is scheduled for 10:15am and will be shown during ITV’s Opening Show.
