Wincanton are holding their Badger Beer Chase Day on Saturday, with the ITV cameras bringing us five races from the Somerset track. The big betting heat is the £80k Badger Beer Chase itself with a field of ten set to go to post. Remastered won at Wincanton last month and could earn a fourth win in the race for trainer David Pipe.
The November Handicap fixture at Doncaster signals the official end of the British flat racing season. The Listed Wentworth Stakes and Gillies Fillies’ stakes will be shown live with the November Handicap closing the show. In a wide-open contest handling the conditions will be crucial with the going forecast to be soft.
Three races from Aintree complete the ITV schedule this Saturday, including the Grand Sefton Handicap Chase over the Grand National fences. The market is headed by Frero Banbou for Venetia William who was third in this race last year. Sure Touch is looking for a five-timer, with jockey Sean Bowen triumphant in this race in 2016 and 2018.
