Ruling Court won the Jumeirah 2000 Guineas at Meydan back in March, whilst Shadow Of Light won the Dewhurst and Middle Park Stakes on the Rowley Mile course last season.

Aidan O’Brien is this race’s most successful trainer with ten wins, and he will be represented this year by Expanded who was second by just a neckto Shadow Of Light in the Dewhurst in October. Other hopefuls include Joseph O’Brien’s Group 1 winner Scorthy Champ, Jessica Harrington’s Green Impact and Royal Lodge Stakes winner Wimbledon Hawkeye.

Also covered on ITV from Newmarket in the build up to the 2000 Guineas will be the Betfred Handicap, the Suffolk Stakes and the Group 3 Palace House Stakes. Joining the four Newmarket races on our screens will be the Listed Conqueror Fillies’ Stakes from Goodwood and the Thirsk Hunt Cup Handicap.
