We’re still more than two weeks out from Cheltenham and five from the start of the Flat season, yet the action is as manic as ever.
ITV Racing has eight domestic races for us on Saturday, plus the bonus of the Bobbyjo Chase in Ireland. The Eider Chase is the standalone event coming from Newcastle, while there are two races shown live on Lingfield’s Winter Derby card and no fewer than five from Kempton over the jumps.
John & Thady Gosden have won the Winter Derby with Lord North and they may add another victory this time. At Kempton, there’s the potential for a huge upset in the Adonis. The Bobbyjo chase is worth keeping a sharp eye on, as it’s quickly becoming the best trial for the Grand National at Aintree.
