Saturday Racing Tips for 13th July 2024 (Ascot, York & Newmarket)

There’s a bumper eleven races covered by ITV this Saturday, with action from Newmarket, York and Ascot.

The first live race comes from Ascot, a Class 2 Heritage Handicap over five furlongs. The second live Ascot race will be the Group 2 Anne Cowley Memorial Summer Mile Stakes, won last year by Charlie Appleby’s Master Of The Seas, the 2000 Guineas runner-up in 2021.

There will be four races from York televised on John Smith’s Cup Day. The 1m John Smith’s Racing Handicap is followed by the Listed City Walls Stakes, the John Smith’s Cup itself and the Group 3 Silver Cup.

Newmarket will have five live races on the final day of their July Festival. The Fillies’ Handicap, bet365 Mile, the Group 2 Superlative Stakes and the Bunbury Cup lead up to the big race of the day, The July Cup. This 6f Group 1 sprint has a £600,000 prize fund with Julie Camacho’s Shaquille victorious in 2023.
